About Jacqueline Newsome

My work centers individuals who are reclaiming their lives after trauma, whether that’s religious trauma, sexual abuse, or the loss of connection to their own sexual identity and agency.

I also support clients navigating anxiety, depression, and the unique challenges of living with neurodivergence, especially in a world not designed to support us.

As a sex therapist, I offer a holistic and expansive approach that honors the full spectrum of human experience pleasure, pain, identity, resilience, and the deeply personal path to healing. Education is a key part of our work together.

I believe that understanding your experiences through the lens of trauma, not personal failure can be profoundly liberating. Knowledge becomes a tool for self-compassion and empowerment.

While we explore the impact trauma and mental health struggles can have, I help foster a mindset rooted in hope and resilience. Healing is not linear, but every insight, boundary, and moment of self-connection is part of your growth.

You're not broken, you’re becoming more fully yourself.

Equality & Inclusion Statement

I provide affirming, trauma-informed care for individuals of all genders, sexualities, neurotypes, spiritual backgrounds (including those recovering from high-control religion), and cultural identities. I recognize that systems of oppression including religious authoritarianism, racism, ableism, patriarchy, and heteronormativity can shape how we experience our bodies, our sexuality, our identities, and our worth. My practice is rooted in resistance to the social and emotional control that keeps us disconnected from who we are meant to be. I support clients in reclaiming autonomy, reconnecting with desire, creating accommodations that affirm neurodivergent needs, and healing from trauma that has silenced their voice. You deserve care that sees your complexity as a strength, not a problem to solve.

This is a space where your full self is not only welcome, but necessary.

Land Acknowledgement

We are located on various stolen Lands that are sacred to a number of Indigenous Peoples, including but not limited to Lands of the Anishinaabeg, Three Fires Confederacy of Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi peoples. We thank the Indigenous Peoples for stewarding these Lands for generations. We pay respect to the Elders, past, present, and future. I acknowledge we occupy and participate in exploitation of Land that are not native to us.

As an organization, we advocate for Land Back and Indigenous Sovereignty. (Give the Land back).

I offer affirming, trauma-informed therapy for people of all identities and backgrounds, with a focus on healing from systems of control, including religious trauma, sexual shame, and societal oppression. My work supports clients in reclaiming autonomy, honoring neurodivergent needs, and reconnecting with their full, complex selves. In this space, your wholeness isn’t just welcomed.

It’s essential.
